Electro-Optical Infrared (EO/IR) Tracking System Thermal Camera and Day Light Camera
The EO/IR tracking system is an integrated device that composes the optical, electric, machinery, control and signal processing unit, utilizing electro-optical detector as sensitive component, and the electro-mechanical control to stabilize the sight-axis, thus realize the target capture, tracking, aiming and stabilization function. The following technology includes target recognition & auto-tracking technology; EO tracking servo control; control technology application; mechanism design and signal processing are critical to determine EO tracking system performance. Recently the advanced EO tracking system is equipped with sensors with different wave and type like TV, IR, LRF, IR localizer, and the design of which should consider the following factors: operation distance, environment, target characteristics, optics aperture & focal length, stabilization accuracy, weight and volume.
JH640-100 system is a part of the vehicle-borne fire control system, capable of keep stable aiming and pointing even when the vehicle attitudes changes or on shock condition. It is equipped with a high resolution thermal camera, a TV and a laser range finder (LRF) for target search, recognition, tracking and ranging at day & night, as well as real-time provide target angle, distance and video. In addition to be used as alone, JH640-100 system also capable of receiving slave instruction from FCS (fire control system) and working with various gun and missile launch system to attack ground and air target. On the non-combat, this system can also serve as assistant navigation and warning for the vehicle at night.
1) Insulate carrier disturbance and stabilize LOS (line of sight)
2) Target observation, searching and aiming at day & night.
3) Target detection, recognition and identification at day & night.
4) Auto and manual target tracking
5) Target ranging
6) Report angular and distance of the captured target relative to the reference axis.
7) System self-check and report test result.
